I had never tried a protein shake before Nutracelle.
Crazy, right? But in my mind… they weren’t healthy. You couldn’t live on shakes, and there was no way your body was healthy when you were replacing meals with a liquid. Evidently, I was wrong (Check out my success story here)! In this post I’m going to take you through my first few days with Nutracelle, before I even received my product, and give you some of the tips and tricks that I learned which lead to my 100 lb weight loss (and counting!).
Waiting for product
One of the questions I receive a lot as the head of Customer Service for Nutracelle is, “What do I do while I wait for my product?” Our shipping times are fast, but there is typically 3 business days where you’ll be anxiously awaiting the arrival of your first package. My advice to you is to do what I did during that wait time: read, learn, ask questions.

Nutracelle offers tons of information about not just the product, but the way of life as well. Use the resources available to you and get yourself ready to commit to your new lifestyle. I know that sounds daunting, but I promise you that it’s so worth it. As soon as I placed my first order I knew I wanted to learn the right way to do it. Our Nutrafamily is so amazing for so many reasons. Not only will you see jaw-dropping testimonials, and meet insanely sweet people... but you'll also have a guaranteed support network. You don't have to do this alone.
Okay, now what?
Here are 5 easy steps you can do, even without your Nutracelle.
- Drink more water. Your body will be happiest and healthiest when you're drinking at least 3 litres of water a day. This will be crucial when you start your shakes!
- Cut the sugar out. This can mean anything from switching to diet pop (or even just carbonated water), to giving up your junk food. Forget having a food funeral, throw it out. You do not need one last bad meal; that's just one last bad meal to lose. Start right now and commit to a happier, healthier you.
- Get more green. I'm not talking about recycling, though that's always a good idea too (#welovetheenvironment). I'm talking about green veggies! Start incorporating more spinach, asparagus, broccoli, celery, cucumber, (etc.etc.etc.) into your life.
- Start reading labels. A huge part of this journey is going to be reducing your net carbohydrate intake (net carbs = carbs minus fiber).
- Begin tracking your food. The biggest learning curve in my journey so far was learning what had too many carbs, and what didn't. I was surprised to find things like bananas full of sugar, though in retrospect I shouldn't have been surprised. I loved anything sugary and sweet. Tracking using our Nutrafit App will help you nail down your current carb intake, and will make it less of an adjustment to lower that for optimal weight loss.
