Write a handwritten note
If you’re on a budget, or hate all the cheesy cards from the convenience store, write your dad a handwritten note this Father’s Day! It’s super easy and thoughtful - take a plain piece of paper, and explain to your dad how he’s helped you become the person you are today. Take time to recall all those moments you hold close to your heart. Lastly, decorate the paper with creative designs to make your letter pop! Your dad will love to reminisce on moments with you as a kid all the way up to today.
Spend quality time (even if it’s virtually)
What is your dad’s favorite hobby? Let him pick an outing for both of you! Whether it’s golf, cooking, bird watching, or just making a meal together. In these times, it could be hard to travel and see family. If you aren’t able to give your dad a real hug this Father’s Day, make sure you talk with him over a video chat. Even though it’s not ideal, your dad will appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to show him some love!
Plan a family game night
If you’re lucky enough to live in close proximity to your dad, plan a fun family game night! Call up all your siblings, kids, and extended family to surprise your dad with his favorite games. This is also a great opportunity to get your family members off their phones and social media. Quality family time allows everyone to realize what’s really important!
