Eggs are EGG-cellent!

If you are a bariatric patient, you know that protein is one of your closest friends. Or if you’re thinking about becoming a bariatric patient, and you have absolutely no idea how to make protein your best friend, we have one easy source that consists of protein and TONS of other great nutrients.

 

Eggs! Did you know that one egg has 6 grams of protein? Also, a single large egg packs only 71 calories. Eggs are also a great source for Vitamin B2, Vitamin D, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Selenium, Zinc, Iron and Copper!

 

Not to mention, egg whites are one of the TOP sources of protein just under whey protein, and alongside lean meat, poultry and fish.

 

But how can you fit eggs into your diet?

 

We’re here to make your life easier! Here are three easy and delicious recipes that you can follow:

 

Extra Filling Scrambled Eggs

 

INGREDIENTS:

2 | Eggs

1 TBSP | Unflavoured Nutralean

2 TBSP | Milk [Use your personal preference!]

Pinch Salt

Pinch Pepper

 

DIRECTIONS:

Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper together in small bowl.

Lightly grease pan with olive oil. Heat skillet on medium-high.

Turn skillet to low and pour mixture.

Gently move spatula across the mixture to form the eggs.

Cook until eggs are thick and no liquid egg remains.

 

Protein Deviled Eggs

 

INGREDIENTS:

12 | Eggs
2/3 Cup | Plain Greek Yogurt

1/2 Scoop | Unflavoured Nutralean
1 TBSP | Yellow Mustard
1 TBSP | Apple Cider Vinegar
Salt and Pepper [to taste!]
Paprika [for garnish!]

 

DIRECTIONS:

Boil eggs, let cool, and peel.

Slice in half [LENGTHWISE!] place yolks in separate bowl.

Mash yolks together with a fork.

Stir in mustard, Nutralean, vinegar, salt and pepper and half of the yogurt.

Consistency should be THICK, but CREAMY.

Add remaining yogurt, gradually.

Refill egg white halves with yolk mixture.

Garnish with paprika.

 

Avocado Egg Salad Protein Sandwiches

 

INGREDIENTS:

6 | Hard Boiled Eggs [chilled and peeled!]

1 | Avocado [cut in ½ in pieces]

5 | Radishes [finely chopped]

1 | Green Onion [finely chopped]

2 TBSP | Plain Greek Yogurt

1/4 Scoop | Unflavoured Nutralean

1 TBSP | Lemon Zest

1/4 TSP | Salt [to taste]

1/8 TSP | Black Pepper [to taste]

 

DIRECTIONS:

Separate yolks from hard-boiled egg whites.

Dice egg whites into small pieces.

In a large bowl, mix together yolks, avocado, Greek yogurt, and unflavoured Nutralean.

Mash everything together until you reach a consistency you prefer.

Mix in lemon zest, radishes, green onion, salt and pepper.

Add in diced egg whites.

Combine all ingredients.

CHILL until ready to eat.
