It's been awhile since I've updated you on my journey, sorry about that, but things have been a bit hectic. Since writing my last blog (which you can read here), I've moved from Prince Edward Island, where our head office is located, to North Bay, Ontario, to live with my partner in crime, Justin.
In this blog I'll tell you about Justin's recent first experience with Nutralean and his hilarious reaction learning about the Natural! Plus, check out my latest Nutrarecipe below.
My fears leading up to the move
When preparing for the move to North Bay, one of the biggest fears I had was getting too off-track and losing the progress I've worked so hard to achieve. I knew I was headed into it with an incredibly supportive partner, as he's been friends with me since before I even started my journey. He's watched me transform and was inspired into his own transformation himself. Thirty pounds later and a lot of hard work, he's also ready to commit to a healthier lifestyle to maintain his results. Regardless of the support, I was still worried I would end up being a bad influence for myself (and him!). I know how I can get when I'm happy; I LOVE to celebrate with food! One thing leads to another, and suddenly I'm caught in a binge and I have to work really hard to get back out of it.
What I brought with me
One of the first things I planned when I was organizing my move was the Nutracelle products I'd be bringing with me. My subscription date had just passed so luckily I had two fresh bags to bring with me.The product I brought with me was planned according to my use, I love having a daily Salted Caramel Nutralean shake - so I brought a full bag of that. The other product I use the most often is our Natural Nutralean! That may be a shock considering it's unflavored, but I'm telling you - my weight-loss game changed for the best when I started adding Natural Nutralean into everything I was cooking. Thankfully, it's gluten-free, nut-free and sugar-free so it's safe to add into everything!
I add it into every sauce I use (mayo, salad dressing, chili base, hot sauces, etc) and blend it into meats (ground beef, pork, turkey, chicken), plus as you're about to see -- I also coat my chicken chunks in it! Adding Natural to our meals has been both a money saver, and a great way to stay on track. You can check out tons of other recipes that feature Natural Nutralean here.
Plus, luckily I'm on a monthly subscription so I don't have to worry about running out! I just had to make sure I had enough product to last me until my next order.
My plan for introducing Justin
Justin has been really excited about joining my Nutracelle lifestyle. He constantly heard me ranting and raving about the recipes I've created from afar when I lived in PEI, so I was pretty pumped to get to cook one of my Nutracelle recipes for him. One evening while he was hanging out with friends, I decided to surprise him with a healthy Nutracelle dinner. I chose Natural-dusted chicken pieces!
This is one of my all-time favourite recipes to showcase how incredible the Natural is. I love it because the coating is light, but a little crunchy and packed with flavor. Plus it couldn't be easier to make: throw your favourite spices in and stir to combine. The best part about this recipe is you can make it now and save it for later.
Tracy's Nutracelle Nuggets
- 3 scoops Natural Nutralean
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- 1 tsp steak spice
- 1 tsp red chili pepper flakes
- 1 tsp bell pepper flakes
- 1/2 tbsp cayenne
If you'll be using this recipe to make Nutracelle Nuggets, you can get started by preheating your oven to 400.
Combine Natural and spices in a bowl. Mix well with a fork or whisk until combined completely.
Dip chicken pieces in coating and coat well. Shake off excess.
Grease a parchment-lined pan, or oven-safe dish.
Bake for 15 minutes. Flip, bake for another 10 minutes.
Once your mixture is blended - you have a coating! You can section out some to use for your current recipe (guaranteed there'll be extras) and save the rest to use another time. I've coated pork chops, steaks, added the mixture into burger meat, and even blended it into some mayo for a dip!

I had previously cubed three boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I went low-effort for Justin's first experience so I just dipped each chicken piece into the mixture and coated it well. Once I shook off the excess, I placed it onto my oven-safe bake-ware. (I usually use a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper)
I baked them for 15 minutes, flipped them, and baked them for another 10 minutes. I also had sliced my third chicken breast into strips for chicken twists, too.
The finished product was a pleasantly-spiced homemade nugget with a light coating.
I didn't give him the heads up that the chicken I made was coated in Natural. I waited until he had tried his first piece and told me he LOVED it. After his first taste, his eyebrows shot up and he said, "Oh, WOW!" I proudly told him it was coated in our Natural Nutralean and he was genuinely shocked and impressed. He couldn't believe that all I'd used was the Natural and spices from the cupboard! He described it as buttery, crunchy, spicy and savoury!
He loved the spice mixture (I cheated though, I used his favourites!) and said it was crazy how flavorful it was considering it was mixed with the Natural. Pictured above, I also whipped up a quick spicy mustard dip by combining sriracha and Heinz mustard.
He gave it a 10/10 and requested we have it again, SOON. We've now added it to our weekly meal plan!
What's next for me?
Thanks for reading the update on my life and checking out my new recipe. I hope you love it as much as we did!
My next plan is to create something delicious with our Chocolate NutraVegan. Stay tuned for more kitchen adventures as I introduce Justin to more Nutracelle recipes. Let's see what his favourites are!
