- Swap out the soda for something else. We all know water is the best, but sometimes you want something on the sweeter side. There are several drinks out there that can suffice your hankering for something sweet without the copious amount of sugar! All it takes is a little searching. Check out sparkling water, for example!
- Try out comparing food labels! With the amount of products out there to choose from, there are endless nutrition facts that make them all a little different. Be sure to choose the products with the lowest amount of added sugars. You can discover what is an added sugar by looking at the ingredients list.
- Incorporate more fruit! Rather than adding sugar or honey to your cereals and oatmeal, try fresh fruit!
- Try out extracts! There are several recipes that require cups of sugar when truly you don’t need all of it. Use extracts like vanilla, almond, orange or lemon to upgrade all your favorite treats.
